Congratulations, President Trump

❤ Peace ❤

… because the prevailing riots in the US as I write this worry me … There are people’s property being destroyed, children getting frightened, moms and dads in intense stress over the safety of the family, and most especially the frail elderly whose daily life are severely disrupted.

I checked out videos of individual reactions to the Trump win and they’re really properly described by the titles as “meltdown”. In one of these videos I heard a teen-age girl wail that originally she was strongly for Bernie Sanders and since he was counted out she transferred her allegiance and hopes to Clinton.

So it got me to thinking that, yep, even Bernie is going to get dragged into this blame for the tantrums of the “liberals”(I put that inside quotes because that word has been severely abused in the course of this election; it’s time that this word is either re-defined or replaced in this particular usage).

Because, well, Bernie did go out and campaigned for Clinton. Notwithstanding that the REAL reason why Bernie did so is not talked about at all, Bernie’s campaign-behavior did not negate the profuse findings that the Wikileaks published connected to this election. This is the reason why Jill Stein got more votes than when Bernie was still in the race. That is, when Bernie was counted out many did not heed his call to support Clinton but instead they pivoted to Stein, and this mainly because of the facts that Wikileaks verified. With that being said, it’s not as if Bernie tricked everyone into getting in line with what he was saying in the campaigns. Why he was even campaigning for a person with whom he was fighting against is itself a very big mystery to me, and for sure it’s not because he had no crucial reason to do so. And second point is that he had promptly come out and spoke clearly that he is willing to work within the new administration, doing the usual stuff that he had been concerned about since he got into public service decades ago. (Nope, he does not say that he now “supports” Trump but that he will continue to work for the vision that he has not let go; here:  http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/12/opinion/bernie-sanders-where-the-democrats-go-from-here.html

and here:

Trump won the election fair and square. If the argument will be that the Trump team stole the election, whoa, then the government has to track back to the legal proceedings regarding how the DNC (Democratic Party, touted “liberal”) stole the primaries from Bernie Sanders. Besides, the GOP (Republican Party, touted “conservative”) does not even like Trump so it’s not a parallel argument.

A path towards calmness may be immediately effective if the DNC or Clinton to say outright, clearly and publicly, for their supporters to stop the ‘disbelief’, gather their wits about them, and face a Trump presidency with as much humanity as they had before this disappointment. The continuing riots speak of an unwillingness that in the first place disabled people from taking heed of what developing, related, and past issues (like as revealed by the Wikileaks; H. A. Goodman among many others talks of these in his YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDB5XReUyyqt-FTNdkzFN-A) were speaking about and what they meant as a whole, and the implication to the Clinton candidacy.

Here’s a blog post that talks about the “silence” of those who could stop the riots: http://daisyluther.com/obama-clinton-sanders-stop-riots-just-watch/

So it’s not as if Clinton is more pristine than Trump nor is it also the other way around. The fact is that an election just happened, the procedures were followed, and the final scores speak for Trump. If Clinton supporters want their voice heard then it doesn’t mean that the Trump supporters have to be silenced and Trump be disqualified. Human rights belong to both Trump and Clinton supporters and all voices deserve respect. Throwing tantrums because you did not get what you want is self-destructive. It’s unhealthy for everyone including those who are not involved (— and so how about their human rights, too?).

If these rioters are not simply “throwing tantrums” then they are being paid to do so. And if neither, then they are seriously in need of psychological or psychiatric help. Five days is too much for any normal tantrum. Besides, it’s not as if what you have is a dictatorship. The government has a check-and-balance system and Trump cannot simply do whatever he wants to do if it comes to that. Besides, I don’t believe that he’s that dense. He himself has a family to take care of and he’ll be thinking of his legacy now. All humans do that = we don’t want to simply disappear from the face of the earth without a “something of ours being left behind”. Being human means a resistance from annihilation both physically and abstractly. And, Trump, with such a title to live up to, would want to be spoken of kindly in the history books (or e-books!).

(Update. Nov. 14, 2016. It’s fear. The rallies are because of FEAR. Here, by Democracy Now!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xwX6sRZOnU). It’s because of the campaign rhetoric(s) thrown back and forth between the candidates and the parties and the media during the campaign. People have the right to be afraid and to express this fear. This fear has to be addressed soonest.)

To the Filipinos who are affected by the riots, I am praying for you and your community, the people you associate with everyday. May you all stay safe. I’m sorry that you’re disappointed if you voted for Clinton. In order to change the results either fraud has to be proven or the voting has to be done again, and it seems that neither process will produce a different result. The exit polls can help clear the picture >> here is the link:

… and here’s a kid who didn’t vote nor is he a fan of Trump and he’s analyzing what just happened and he makes sense to me, aside from taking the gloom out of a very dark pre-winter day today:

… and here is a professional evaluation, from Democracy Now!
